ACTA's founder

Agnès Desfosses is born in Paris where she does street theatre, co-direct the “Compagnie Vague et Terre” from 1980 to 1989, and assume the artistic direction of the “Compagnie ACTA – Agnès DESFOSSES” since 1990. She established many collaboration between europeans authors, composers and plastic artists. The photographic image is always turning back in her creation’s conception, shows and exhibitions. Those Europeans encounters have been such rich for her and her creations that she creates in 2003 the “Premières Rencontres” festival small childhood, art and living theatre: a European biennial in the Val d’Oise region. The festival will know its 8th edition in 2018, that biennial was co-directed with Laurent Dupont in 2014 and 2016. Her photographic path has led to many exhibitions, in which some have a dramatic form: they mix photography with sound or plastic arts; on several themes: the exile, the childhood, the memory and the reflections.
