25 cultural and early childhood venues, old and new partners for this edition, were initially brought together to programme the 10 shows chosen. Acta’s coordination enabled close collaboration at the local level between the partner cities in an extended area of the Val-d’Oise and Seine-et-Marne for this biennial event, even in the case of cancellations and postponements linked to the health context of the first containment in March 2020.
The postponement of shows was done according to the local realities of each of the towns. ACTA has worked actively and on a case-by-case basis for each show scheduled during the First Meetings to favour postponement between October 2020 and October 2021, and, when this was not possible, to systematically compensate the companies that were cancelled, in cooperation with the cities, by guaranteeing the payment that we had planned to make within the framework of the collective agreements established with certain cities for certain shows. The solidarity of the cities, partners and ACTA made it possible to compensate the artistic teams for the shows that could not be programmed.
15 towns in Val-d’Oise and Seine-et-Marne (and Normandy) had initially co-constructed the event: Arnouville, Beaumont-sur-Oise, Blainville sur Orne, Cergy, Fosses, Garges-lès-Gonesse, Gonesse, Marly-la-Ville, Mitry-Mory, Persan, Saint-Gratien, Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône, Sarcelles, Taverny, Villiers-Le-Bel.
