Laurent Dupont was asked by the DRAC Île-de-France to intervene in the territory of Grigny to set up a large-scale cultural action project in the early childhood sector.
Meetings were organised beforehand by Mr. Mehdi Idir (Cultural and Territorial Action advisor of the DRAC Île-de-France) to establish a diagnosis of the existing situation, the needs, expectations, desires and possibilities in terms of artistic awakening.
Laurent Dupont then conducted four half-day training sessions with early childhood professionals from the “La Caravelle” centre in the Grande Borne district ,to open up a discussion on possible ways to engage with children, the development of professionals’ skills and the mediation needed with parents to involve them. They were able to set up actions with the children in the centre, and then share their observations.
Rarely practised within the facility, these activities revealed a great deal of investment and inventiveness, and there were many exchanges with the parents as well. A real expectation for the continuation of these artistic exchanges was expressed by the team.
At the end of this training period, ACTA was invited for two performances of the show “Archipel” at “La Caravelle” on 14 February 2022.
