AsAs part of the continuation of its 2024 community project, ACTA is pursuing its work around the figure of the tree and is offering organizations in the city of Villiers-le-Bel an artistic and sensory journey centered on plant life and its metamorphosis, in connection with the company’s upcoming creation, « De l’Hêtre à l’Être » (From Beech to Being), by Laurent Dupont.
The project unfolds in two phases:
From January to June, CE1 (2nd grade) students from Jean Jaurès and Ferdinand Buisson schools will take part in digital design workshops led by Jaime Jimenez and dance workshops led by Kostia Cerda and Maxime Renaud. At the end of this program, the participating classes will attend a work-in-progress showing of « De l’Hêtre à l’Être » at ACTA’s venue and have a chance to engage in discussion with the artistic team.
From September to November, in collaboration with the Boris Vian socio-cultural center, the Louis Jouvet leisure center, and the Erik Orsenna and Aimé Césaire media libraries, two groups of children aged 7 to 9 will explore their natural environment and rediscover their territory through dance and digital design workshops, literary workshops and a forest walk with the La Case association (association for popular education and raising awareness of ecological issues). Their experience will also be enriched by attending a second work-in-progress show.
Both programs will take place ahead of the performances of « De l’Hêtre à l’Être », scheduled for November 2025 at Espace Marcel Pagnol (95). They aim to raise participants’ awareness of the themes addressed in the show, while highlighting the unique aspects of their territory and contributing to the artistic team’s creative process.
