As part of the collaboration between the creative projects on the metamorphosis of living things by Laurent Dupont and Eleonora Ribis (ACTA associate artist), ACTA offered a creative and artistic programme to two kindergarten classes at the Ferdinand Buisson school, a project funded by the cité éducative in partnership with the Villiers-le-Bel cultural department.

From 6 to 10 January, the pupils created their own works of art with the help of illustrator Amélie Jackowski. She began by presenting two children’s books about the night and its lights: ‘Des Lucioles’ (Fireflies) by Georges Didi-Huberman and ‘Chut! il ne faut pas réveiller les petits lapins qui dorment’ (Hush! Don’t wake the sleeping rabbits), which she wrote.

Then, inspired by the images, the children were able to make their own creations based on the magic of light. The workshops resulted in four works of art paying homage to the beauty and fragility of living things, including luminous constellations and a collective multicoloured fresco depicting the abundance of life underwater.

To conclude this creative project, their works were installed at the Espace Marcel Pagnol, as part of the performance of the show ‘One (titre provisoire pour planète provisoire)’ (One (provisional title for provisional planet)) by the company Marizibil on 21 and 22 January, programmed by the town of Villiers-Le-Bel. The audience and the children’s close friends and family were able to admire the fruits of their creative workshop.
