As part of the “Childhood and Parenthood: Land Art Encounters” project run by the ACTA company in Villiers-le-Bel and Claye-Souilly in June and autumn 2023, Clémence Bélénus captured the children’s encounter with Land Art from the Les Carreaux district.
The exhibition is on show at the Maison des Services in Villiers-le-Bel until 17 September 2023!
A collecting session was organised on Wednesday 14 June with the Gérard Philippe leisure centre. Children from the centre collected leaves, flowers, branches, petals, buds and other natural elements in the Géothermie park and on the way to ACTA’s offices. Through this collection, organised jointly with the town’s local development department, ACTA offered the children a chance to (re)discover the richness of the natural environment around them.
The development of this biodiversity awareness then extended to the Jean Jaurès and Gérard Philippe kindergarden schools, with art workshops led by Land Art artist Marc Pouyet. The children created mandalas and other ephemeral creations using elements found in the green spaces surrounding their schools, as well as materials collected by the leisure centre.
