“L’Autre de Moi” is the second part of Laurent Dupont’s 2-phase project around the theme of presence/absence. With this proposal, ACTA wishes to create a bridge that facilitates the passage of children from nursery to kindergarten, in line with the reflections undertaken by Laurent Dupont on the links between parents and children.

The first part of this diptych, “Là…Pas Là!“, explored the games put in place around the rituals of separation, through which the adult and the child discover the need to separate in order to better find each other.

Its second part, “L’Autre de Moi” draws on lullabies – that privileged intergenerational relationship between adults (parents and relatives) and small children.

Lullabies arise from the body, linked to listening and touching. It seems essential to us to associate vocal expression with a strong visual and tactile imprint. Two vital and complementary rhythms are therefore associated through play for these moments of day-dreaming: the shaping of clay mixed with song. Seeing, hearing… and feeling in the depths of one’s being: a sensitive invitation for a body-to-body experience shared by the two performers, singers, musicians and kneaders, listening to the enigmas that conceal these first moments of human becoming.
