“L’Autre de Moi” is the second part of Laurent Dupont’s diptych on the theme “Presence/Absence”. With this proposal, the ACTA company wishes to create a bridge that facilitates the passage of children from the crèche to the small and medium sections of nursery classes and is in line with the reflections undertaken by Laurent Dupont on the links between parents and children.
The first part of this diptych, LÀ…PAS LÀ !, features games based on the rituals of separation, through which adults and children discover the need to separate in order to better find each other.
Its second part, L’AUTRE DE MOI, draws on lullabies – that privileged intergenerational relationship between adults (parents and relatives) and small children.
The lullabies arise from the body linked to listening and touch. It seems essential to us to associate vocal expression with a strong visual and tactile imprint. Two vital and complementary rhythms will therefore be associated through play for these moments of reverie: the shaping of clay crossed by the song. Seeing, hearing… and feeling in the depths of one’s being: a sensitive invitation for a body-to-body experience shared by the two performers, singers, musicians and kneaders, listening to the enigmas that conceal these first moments of human becoming.
Where has the mother of the child gone
Gone to fetch water
Not returned to draw water
Gone to fold the baobab leaf
Did not come back to fold the leaf
Gone to prepare food
Did not come back from preparing food
On the cliff a hen’s egg hangs
Malian lullaby
