Action to fight against poverty in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region

The project involved two artists, Émilie Lambert and Joseph Bourillon, as well as Laurent Dupont, to mobilise children and parents with early childhood professionals in workshops around the show “Là…Pas Là!” and the theme presence/absence.

The artists were involved in inventing games “where everything hides to better recognize each other” through artistic practice workshops carried out every morning for a week in June 2021 in a partner nursery in the Drouais agglomeration.

The afternoons were dedicated to the training of professionals in early childhood organisations with a presentation of the stakes of the child’s artistic awakening, of its role in the child’s development, the development of their creativity, critical thinking and curiosity, and in the development of the parent-child relationship.

“These meetings with Laurent and his team were beneficial for the children and for us because :
We were able to exchange on the different practices observed the same morning during the workshop.
We were able to anticipate the next day’s workshop by knowing the artists’ expectations.
We were able to get to know the supervisors better.
We were able to discover other media, everyday objects (torches, PVC tubes, recordings…)
We were able to have proposals for the diversion of objects that we don’t necessarily think of.
Thank you for this very enriching week, which opens up and makes us want to do other things… “
